about

We struggled through growing up, fought our demons, and learned valuable lessons from the hardships. We went through the trouble so you don't have to. Keep pushing forward, onward, and skyward. Life gets better if you're willing to leave the past behind and focus on the change that lies in the future. These songs aren't only for our stability, but for anyone going through the same situations. This is From This Day Forward; learn from our mistakes.

"We may change things yet, if we press on. We work in the dark to save the light."

Track Name: Almost
"The surface of the earth is the shore of the cosmic ocean. On this shore, we've learned most of what we know. Recently, we've waded a little way out, maybe ankle deep, and the water seems inviting."
- Carl Sagan, Cosmos

I'm angry, a bit too upset
Frustrated, I gave it my best
I've regressed, but I still strive on
Kick me in the teeth, I'll keep pushing along

Pushing along

We may change things yet, if we press on
We work in the dark to save the light
Track Name: Hourglass
Departed, from all the things I can't oppress
Uncharted, lost in a world that's left behind
Discarded, our instinct abandoned
Where is your faith in the future?

Here we go again
Your sick obsession with the past
This is the last time I'll dive in to save you
When you're drowning in an hourglass

Time moves in one direction and memories run in the opposite
So choose one, be sure that you're positive
Before it's way too late and you leave it all to fate
Quit chasing all the things that you should be replacing
Fighting all the fears that you're not facing
Because what the future holds is laced and wrapped in gold for you

We get but a taste of youth
Before we start to see the truth
And by then we've all just grown up
You'll never see it coming just stay on your toes
Because things change and we age and that's just how it goes

Here we go again
Your sick obsession with the past
This is the last time I'll dive in to save you
When you're drowning in an hourglass

Time moves in one direction and memories run in the opposite
So choose one, be sure that you're positive
Before it's way too late and you leave it all to fate
Quit waiting, the world is now yours for the taking
These memories were born for fading
Keep your eyes toward the sun and let the shadows fall behind you
Fall behind
Track Name: Never Alone, Never Apart
So far I've been up and alone and away from home
And it feels different
Coping with things as hard as it seems
And I'm just a young kid, trying to get through this

And I'm a bit thick under the skin
Not willing to talk about much
I'm quiet, I'm calm, I keep to my own
But tear myself up in the dusk

Hoping my heart won't bend
Brought to my knees but not an end
I'm breaking touch, I'm gripping thin
You held my head up
I am young and I am nervous
To who I've grown to be, was my purpose in the end
Never alone, never apart
Erased from the world but not from my heart

All those letters in a box
I would read them to pass my time
Sorrow haunts me when the leaves drop
And send shivers up my spine
My neck has been bent, my knees have been shaking
Try to hold the world up but my arms started aching

I'm a bit thick under the skin
Not willing to talk about much
I'm quiet, I'm calm, I keep to my own
But tear myself up in the dusk

Hoping my heart won't bend
Brought to my knees but not an end
I'm breaking touch, I'm gripping thin
You held my head up
I am young and I am nervous
To who I've grown to be, was my purpose in the end
Never alone, never apart
Erased from the world but not from my heart

Sadness, sometimes I think that word is going to kill me
But I'm still fighting to be a kid
Wander on these roads I drifted onto
Remember what you gave and live
Track Name: Bold.
(Guest vocals done by Jacob Partney of For Old TImes Sake)

Don't leave me in the cold
Let me be, let me be bold

Don't leave me in the cold
Let me be, let me be
Don't leave me in the cold

Never seeing farther than my backyard
I was always shooting for those missing stars
But they're all dead and gone
"Let it go" they said
But I wouldn't know
Because my mind always got messed up with all of my hopes

Open your heart before you open your mind
Embrace what's inside, and leave doubt behind
But I feel so close
But yet you aren't, but yet you aren't at all
Why is it that I am so alone?
But yet you aren't, but yet you aren't at all

Finally found within my open scars
I found all of those missing parts
But they're all dead and gone
"Disconnect" they said
But I won't neglect the man I set out to be
It is a blessing

Don't leave me in the cold
Let me be, let me be
Don't leave me in the cold
Track Name: I'm Fine
Years gone by and now my life starts to change
For better or worse they both sound the same
Bittersweet belief pulling out my open ends
Scars in a matchbox just waiting to get lit up again

But I’ll say
To you
It’s okay I’ve been great how are you
I’ll turn my cheek
And hold my tongue
Cause no one had my back like you did
No one

I don’t miss you I miss the memories
You say you’re growing old but you’re still growing up to me
I never changed
I never changed at all
But yet you still blame me for all of your faults

But I’ll say
To you
It’s okay I’ve been great how are you
I’ll turn my cheek
And hold my tongue
Cause no one had my back like you did
No one

No one had my back
No one had my back like you did
I never changed
I never changed at all
